Jennifer Waltz, PhD, is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Montana. She trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) under the supervision of Dr. Marsha Linehan from 1987-1992. As a senior trainer, she conducts training and supervision in DBT throughout the U.S. Dr. Waltz has published a number of articles and book chapters on DBT. She was Principal Investigator on an NIMH-funded project designed to develop videotapes of DBT skills training. Other areas of research are mindfulness, self-compassion, and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy. As a professor, her teaching focuses on training and supervising graduate students in clinical psychology. She resides in Missoula, MT, where she also maintains a private practice.
